Nurse Aide State Exam Review Classes
This comprehensive review class prepares you to take the NC Nurse Aide I exam. The cost of the class includes a detailed text that outlines the State's Nurse Aide Curriculum and a DVD that shows live demonstrations of each of the State testable skill. In the text you will find all of the answers for the exam. We also cover all of the testable skills that are listed in the Pearson Vue Nurse Aide Handbook, offer practice written exams, and sample questions from older State exams. Our Instructors want you to be confident prior to taking the test. They ensure that our lab is set up similar to the testing lab so that you feel comfortable and well prepared in the test setting. Our goal is to give you the knowledge and skills to pass the NC Nurse Aide I exam and enter the workforce with confidence and efficiency.
This is a fast paced class that serves only as a review of the full NAI program. This class is designed for individuals who have already taken a Nurse Aide program, have an expired North Carolina NA Registry listing, trained as a hospital Corpsman or other similar medical training, completed the Fundamentals of Nursing or other similar program, or is a CNA from another state and wishes to be listed in North Carolina.
**Hints to scheduling a class for the best success. Just prior to scheduling for the review class, fill out the NACES Nurse Aide I testing application, send the appropriate fees and information to NACES, and then review their testing schedule. Schedule your class prior to your testing date! For example, take our class on Wednesday - Friday and test on Monday!!

Complete Nurse Aide I Program
This Nurse Aide I class offers you the opportunity to learn everything you need to know to be a highly qualified and skilled Nurse Aide I. Our Instructors provide you with all of the tools to be successful in the health care field and have taught this program in the North Carolina State Community College system to hundreds of students. We use Federal guidelines to outline this Nurse Aide course. We teach you the information that is on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I curriculum to ensure that you will succeed on the NC Nurse Aide I Exam and in the medical field. We utilize lecture, lab, and clinical components within our program. We provide handouts, practice questions, videos, live demonstrations of skills, hands on practice of skills, clinical rotations for real life resident contact, sample state exam questions, review of state testable skills, and we make ourselves available for as long as you need us! We provide a lab that is similar to the testing lab so you feel comfortable and well prepared on your test day. We want you to be confident when you successfully complete Nurse Aide I and head into the workforce and we want you to know we are here for you... even when the class is done.
This is a comprehensive accelerated class! It runs over a period of 3 weeks for the full time program. You must be willing to work to succeed! You will be expected to read and review all material given during the course prior to class times. Our goal is to prepare you to enter into the workforce, nursing school, or simply take care of a family member with all of the compassion, skills, and qualifications of an exceptional Nurse Aide.

Medication Aide
Learn the skills to become a North Carolina Medication Aide. This 24 hour long Board of Nursing class prepares the individual to administer medications in a long term care setting. We also prepare you for the State Medication Aide Competency Exam.
Medication Aide Registry requirements with the NC Division of Health Service Regulation are:
*have a high school diploma or GED;
*successful completion of a 24 hour medication aide training program approved by the Board of Nursing;
*successful completion of a state-approved competency evaluation program; and
*listing on the NC Division of Health Service Regulation Medication Aide Registry.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The medication aide who wishes to function in a skilled nursing facility must be listed as a Medication Aide and a Nurse Aide I with the NC Division of Health Service Regulation prior to functioning as a medication aide in such a facility.
**We must have at least 5 individuals per class with a maximum of 10 (per the Board of Nursing).

Nurse Aide II Classes Coming Soon!
The 170 hour Nursing Assistant II Training Program prepares graduates to perform more complex skills for patients or residents regardless of the setting. Emphasis is on the role of the NA II, and the physical needs of the patient specific to sterile procedures, oxygen therapy, urinary catheterization, wound care, tracheostomy care, elimination procedures, suctioning, peripheral IV monitoring, tube feedings, fecal impactions, glucose monitoring, and electrocardiogram setup. This program is designed and follows all guidelines established by the NC Board Of Nursing.
This NA II program utilizes online lecture/classroom material, lab practice time, and clinical experiences. You must complete all for successful completion of this program.
Prerequisites for registration are:
---Current NC Nurse Aide I Registry Listing
---High School Diploma or GED
---Current Immunizations (negative TB test or chest x-ray, MMR, Tetanus, and date -if applicable- of Chicken Pox)
Upon successful completion of all online, lab and clinical work you will be required to perform and pass both a written and skills evaluation. Once completed, your information will be submitted with the Board of Nursing application and $24 registration fee (you are required to pay this) to be listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide II Registry!
Nurse Aide I Online
We now offer Nurse Aide I online! This program offers all of the same information as the classroom program but with the flexibility of working from home for most of the information portion of the class. It is designed for the individual who needs more flexibility with their schedule and who is committed to independent work.
You will be required to read the text, study the learning materials provided via the internet, answer questions and correspond through the computer directly with your instructor. You must attend the lab and clinical days in conjunction with your online time. This class will follow the same curriculum as the in-class Nurse Aide I program without the in-class time!
You must have a computer and internet access for this class! Also, you must be dedicated to reviewing all material prior to lab and clinical times! Please review the class schedules for days and times.
